Can You Run Three Miles While Eating a Quart of Ice Cream?

The annual Jog 'n Hog, set for July 21, involves running about a mile and a half, eating either a quart or a pint of ice cream and then running back to the starting line.

The second annual Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream Jog 'n Hog will be held July 21 at Shady Brook Farm. Registration closes July 16. 

The race involves jogging a mile and a half, eating either a quart or a pint of Uncle Dave’s ice cream and then running back to the starting line. The race kicks off at 8:30 a.m.

According to race organizers, there are several new features for this year’s Ice Cream Jog ‘n Hog, including the introduction of two divisions.

“The gastrointestinally brave can register in the Whole Hogger Division, which involves eating a quart of ice cream at the race’s halfway point. Those who are less confident in their eating ability can register in the Half Hogger Division, which involves eating a pint of ice cream,” according to a press release.

Registration is $40 for the Whole Hogger and $37 for the Half Hogger.
