More than 60 Shop Windows Painted for Halloween

The annual Newtown Halloween Art Scene event was held Oct. 20 and featured window painting, scarecrow making and a cupcake contest.

More than 150 people participated in the Newtown Halloween Art Scene event Saturday and about 62 windows on State and Sycamore streets were painted. Seven people entered the scarecrow contest and there were nine entries for the cupcake contest. Felix of Felix's Caketeria helped judge and the winning recipe will be featured at his bakery this Saturday.

Event sponsors included Goodnoe Dairy, Isaac Newton's, Milk Money, Zebra Striped Whale, Countryside Framing & Radhouse Studio, Green Parrot, Newtown Pro Shop, Newtown Book & Record Exchange, George's Floor Covering and Newtown Optical.
