It was a busy night in Newtown Friday.
The firehouse on Liberty Street held a Christmas tree lighting and State Street merchants were all decorated for the holidays as they celebrated "Midnight Madness."

Thanks to the NFA for the Christmas tree lights, to Dave Callahan & helpers for obtaining a huge tree again this year, to Lisa and Andrea from the Nest for decorating Santa's house & to Charlie Lewis for being Santa's biggest elf!
