Pair Caught Stealing Handbags in Newtown Grant, Police Say

Township police say they received a report at 3:40 a.m. Sunday that there were two people with flashlights looking into cars in the parking lot at Society Place.

Newtown Township police say two people who are under adult probation were caught stealing handbags from cars parked in Society Place.

Township police say they received a report at 3:40 a.m. Sunday that there were two people with flashlights looking into cars in the parking lot at Society Place.

When officers arrived, they located two subjects, Tyler Gadonniex, 20, of Northampton and Elizabeth Wickham, 29, of Newtown.  Both Gadonniex and Wickham are currently supervised by Bucks County Adult Probation, according to authorities.

When the officer made contact with Wickham, who was in the car, he observed numerous women's handbags at her feet and behind her seat, police said.

“Wickham provided police with conflicting stories as to why there were multiple bags in the car,” according to information from Newtown Township Police.

Gadonniex and Wickham were transported to Bucks County Prison for violations of probation, with additional charges pending, police said.
