PennDOT Projects May Impact Traffic This Week

One lane will be closed on I-95 north and south between Route 413 and Business Route 1 Tuesday night into Wednesday. Also, one lane will be closed today on Route 332 in Lower Makefield.

Two PennDOT road projects scheduled for this week will require some drivers to leave additional travel time.

One lane will be closed on I-95 north and south between Route 413 and Business Route 1 in Bristol and Middletown townships from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. PennDOT will be doing traffic line painting.

“Motorists traveling on I-95 can expect to face slowdowns and delays during the
slow-moving operation,” PennDOT said in a press release.

PennDOT is advising motorists to avoid running over newly-painted traffic lines and to remain 100 feet or more behind the operating paint trucks. If a motorist crosses the lines before the paint dries, it may splatter on the vehicle. Roadway paint usually takes between three and five minutes to dry, according to PennDOT.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $13 million project to repair and resurface 23 state highways in Bucks County.

Also, one lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m today in both directions on Route 332 between I-95 and Yardley Langhorne Road in Lower Makefield. PennDOT will be doing resurfacing.

PennDOT advises motorists to allow extra time when traveling on that portion of Route 332 while the work is being done. The work is part of PennDOT’s $8.8 million project to resurface 30 miles of state highway in Bucks County.
