Regional Roundup: Countywide Meeting to Focus on Budget Impact

More questions than answers on Doylestown Township development proposal and the Neshaminy-Pennsbury football rivalry becomes a game of chicken.

Here are some highlights from area Patches.

: “Every Bucks County resident has a potential interest in this meeting,” said Centennial School Board member Mark Miller.  “This includes the large percentage of taxpayers who do not have any children in Pennsylvania's education system.” The meeting will be held Thursday.

: Parents, teachers and administrators are invited to discuss the district's class size policy at two meetings in November. Any conclusions will be presented to the Education Committee on Nov. 28.

: More than 100 people showed up to get some answers, but all they got were promises from a developer who has seen his last two proposals for the 17-acre property rejected.

: The manager of Hatboro Main Street said the goal is to make the borough “more of a destination rather than a pass-through town.”

Two area Chick-fil-A’s will keep track of which school brings in the most sales from October 28 at 6:30 a.m. until November 3 at 10 p.m. The school that brings in more sales combined between both locations will receive $1,000; the other school will receive $500.

: Junior co-captain Molly Davies and freshman Caroline Harmon led the way to the championship. Meanwhile, the boys team finished second behind Holy Ghost.

: Eight area high school marching bands participated in a showcase event at William Tennent.

: State police announced arrests for DUI and underage drinking.
