Tornado Watch and Heat Warning In Effect Until 8 pm

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Bucks County.

If you've stepped outdoors today, you know it's pretty darn hot outside. The National Weather Service's Excessive Heat Warning continues until 8 p.m. tonight.

The NWS has also issed a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m. tonight for several counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Bucks County.

The NWS says the impacts of excessive heat are particularly dangerous for children, the elderly, and pets. No person or animal should be left unattended in a car in these temperatures. Additionally, be sure pets have plenty of water and a shady place. It's best to bring them inside if possible.

The excessive heat will break overnight. Temperatures tomorrow are expected to be in the mid 70s.
