What: Free fireworks on the Delaware River

What: The weekly farmer’s market at the Wrightstown Township Municipal Building

Where/when: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2203 Second Street Pike

Why go: According to market organizers, this week’s harvest will include raspberries, snap peas, savoy cabbage, red beets, spinach, kale, lettuces, rainbow chard, dandelion greens, kohlrabi, broccoli, radishes, leeks, mushrooms, summer squash and much more.

Cost: Items vary

What: The Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s presentation of "The Pirates of Penzance" 

Where/when: Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2631 Durham Road, Buckingham

Why go: Watch a cast of topsy-turvy pirates, nobles and police strive to maintain strict Victorian virtues in the face of utter silliness, all set to Sullivan’s glorious music. 

Cost: $15; $10 for seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door. 

What: The .4 mile Dash for Joe benefits survivors of Prostate Cancer

Where/when: Registration starts at noon, race begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at the

Why go: Run down scenic Court Street in the heart of Newtown and get a cup of Joe or smoothie courtesy of . Sponsors will be there to provide food and beverages. There will be pony rides for kids.

Cost: $25 (includes t-shirt)

         

What: Treat Dad to an afternoon of wine tasting for his special day.

Where/when: Noon on Sunday at

Why go: Enjoy a five-course gourmet food and wine pairing in celebration of Father’s Day.
