Newtown Election Results Summary
A roundup of Tuesday's election results in Newtown.
Election results are in and here's an overview of who won, according to the unofficial results from Bucks County:
- Council Rock School District voters rejected eliminating the occupation tax and replacing it with an increase in the earned income tax.
- Voters in Newtown Township re-elected Republican Mike Gallagher to the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors. Jen Dix, a Democrat, was elected and will serve as the only female on the five-member board.
- In Newtown Borough, incumbents Robert Walker and Perry Warren were re-elected. Democrat Tara Grunde McLaughlin was elected as well as Republican Chris Gusty.
- In County races, Sheriff Duke Donnelly was re-elected, Republican Patricia L. Bachtle was re-elected as Prothonotary, Raymond F. McHugh was re-elected as County Controller and Joseph Szafran as Recorder of Deeds.
