4th Annual CHOP Chari-tea

Join us February 2nd, 11:30-2pm for the 4th Annual Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Chari-tea hosted by High School Freshmen, Jenna Silla, Abby Karch and Bitsy Mullarkey!

In 2009, Jenna was hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit for two weeks at CHOP. During her stay, the activities supplied by the Child Life Center helped her cope with being in the hospital. When she was released, she wanted to do something to thank CHOP for saving her life. So, the CHOP Chari-tea was started. Best friends from childhood, Jenna, Bitsy and Abby have organized, shopped, prepared and hosted the tea for the past 4 years.

This charity is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for the Child Life Center at CHOP. This center provides arts and crafts, games, and videos for the children. When you’re in the hospital, it’s very helpful to have something to take your mind off of what’s going on. Over the years, the Charitea has helped restock this center at CHOP.
