Have you longed to share bread made with your own hands with family and friends, to smell the aroma of freshly baked loaf in your own kitchen? Would you like to refine your baking skills? Or do you simply want to get the dough in your hands? Whatever the reason, join us for a hands-on class in the basics of bread baking. We'll discuss the process of making bread from selecting ingredients, to kneading dough by hand, to shaping, scoring and baking (and, of course, tasting). In this three-hour class, I will show you one basic dough and how it can be made into many delicious products, including baguettes, soft, buttery rolls, fruit and nut loaves, and pizza. An $8 materials fee due to the instructor at the beginning of class.
