The Comedy Works located in Georgine’s Restaurant, 1320 Newport Rd, Bristol,
Pa. will offer 2 fun-filled
ways to celebrate this New Year’s Eve with a choice of good food, comedy and
dancing.
For those people who want to celebrate early in the evening there
is the New Year’s Eve “Lite” party, from 7:30 – 10:30 PM for $65 per person. It will feature a dinner-show, a “cash bar”, deluxe buffet with Prime
Rib, Seafood Newberg, Chicken Marsala, assorted desserts, party favors and a
great comedy show.
from 8:30 PM until 2 AM, that features a 4 1/2 hour open bar, deluxe
buffet with Prime Rib, Seafood Newberg, Chicken Marsala, a dessert bar
and continental breakfast. It will also include a Champagne toast, Party
Favors and dancing following the comedy show. The “Late Night Party” package is $92.50 per person.The comedy shows will spotlight Julia Scotti “The Crazy Old Lady of Comedy”, Nick
Carmen Cosentino and Mike Brooks who will open the show and keep the evening fun.
Julia Scotti started her comedy
career over 25 years ago in New York City and Philadelphia, headlining
clubs in both the United States and Canada. She has appeared on “Comedy Central” and was the winner of Showtime’s “The Funniest Person in America” contest for the state of New Jersey. She has recently been headlining at “Planet Hollywood” (Las Vegas) and “The Borgata” (Atlantic City).Julia just finished a pilot TV show “No Man’s Land” which is being considered by “HBO” and other networks.Nick Carmen Cosentino who is now
based in Chicago returns to the Philadelphia area for this special one night
show. Nick was a comedy icon in his youth who toured up and down the East Coast playing some of the best clubs like “The Improv”(New York), “Comic Strip Live”
(New York), and the original “Comedy
Works” (Philadelphia). Nick had been a top winner in many comedy festivals
and was featured on “Comedy Central” and “Comedy Tonight” that appeared
originally on CBS.
Mike Brooks, who is a Philadelphia native,
will be the host and MC for the evening. Mike has been doing live
stand-up comedy a number of years and was a finalist in the 2013 “Philly’s Phunniest Competition”
this past summer.
