Annual Woman's Scholarship Tea is Thursday

The sixth annual event benefits women students from Bucks County Community College who support at least one child while seeking a higher education.

The sixth annual Women’s Scholarship Tea will be held this Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown campus. The event, which benefits women students who support at least one child while seeking a higher education, will be held in Tyler Hall.

Finger sandwiches, desserts and tea from the Tea Can Company will be served. PECO is a scholarship benefactor of the event.  

“Through the generosity of sponsors and attendees, 20 scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded over the past two years,” said Adrienne Clark of the BCCC Foundation.

This year’s featured speakers are college President Stephanie Shanblatt and Denise Chranowskifounder of “8 Weeks to Wellness. ” The student speaker will be Jennifer Hill, a past recipient of the “Salute to Mothers” scholarship. 

Donations are accepted in any amount for each ticket. Due to limited seating, reservations are required. To make a reservation or for more information, contact the BCCC Foundation at foundation@bucks.edu or 215-968-8224.

The BCCC Foundation is a nonprofit educational trust that provides expanded resources for the college’s growth and development. Foundation funds support instructional resources, campus facilities, scholarships and awards, cultural activities and special college projects.
