Township to Host Electronics Recycling Event Saturday

Newtown Township is holding an electronics recycling drive Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Newtown Township is holding an electronics recycling drive Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the municipal complex, 100 Municipal Drive.

Items that can be recycled include:

  • computers, laptops and keyboards
  • televisions
  • VCR, DVD and CD players
  • printers and fax machines
  • radios, sterios and MP3 players 
  • electronic toys and games
  • microwaves
  • photo and video cameras
  • common electrical appliances like washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerator

The township’s last recycling day, held in March, was a success. About 385 cars dropped off a combined 34,900 pounds of electronics to be recycled.
