Teen Golfer Recognized by State Lawmaker

Newtown Township resident Michael Bliss was selected to be part of the International Junior Golf Tour's Team USA.

A local teen who was selected to be part of the International Junior Golf Tour’s Team USA was recognized last week by State Rep. Steve Santarsiero.

Newtown Township resident Michael Bliss, a junior at The Pennington School, received a citation from the state lawmaker. 

Bliss was selected by the IJGT to play on Team USA in Scotland from July 26 to Aug. 3 earlier this year.

Bliss also was identified by the American Junior Golf Association as one of the outstanding junior golfers in the Philadelphia region and participated in the U.S. Rolex/AJGA dinner honoring Arnold Palmer in 2012.
