Volunteers Hosting 28th Annual Christmas Dinner

The Newtown Presbyterian Church will once again be holding the annual Christmas Day dinner for members of the community who don't have other plans and would like to spend the holiday with their neighbors.

Local volunteers are again working to ensure everyone has a merry Christmas.

The Newtown Presbyterian Church will once again be holding the annual Christmas Day dinner for members of the community who don’t have other plans and would like to spend the holiday with their neighbors.

The dinner will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Newtown Presbyterian Church, located at Washington Avenue and Chancellor Street.

It will be the 28th year that volunteers have hosted the dinner on Christmas Day, explained organizer Paul Salvatore.

Volunteers will also be putting dinners together to be delivered to local families in need.

“Chef Joe Garvey will be running the kitchen as usual and the meal will be as always outstanding,” Salvatore said.
