Congressman Fitzpatrick Decries “Back of Paycheck” Signers; Doesn’t Want to be Part of a Club That Would Have Him as a Member

With the dust left unsettled on Mitt Romney’s 47% fiasco, Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is defending similar remarks he made at a Doylestown Tea Party brunch last Sunday.

With the dust left unsettled on Mitt Romney’s 47% fiasco, Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is defending similar remarks he made at a Doylestown Tea Party brunch last Sunday. The Morning Call reported that Congressman Fitzpatrick was secretly recorded stating, "We need to support people who have a history and know what it is like to sign the front of a paycheck, not the back of a paycheck…"

Congressman Fitzpatrick is long-time government employee who has spent most of his career signing the backs of paychecks provided by taxpayers.

“It shouldn’t matter whether you sign the front or the back of a check, all working people contribute to society. Congressman Fitzpatrick signs the back of a paycheck himself and should not be so quick to judge,” said Mary Downing, PA Working Families supporter.

“I signed the back of a paycheck for 40 years. I worked hard my whole life and deserve a congressperson who represents me, regardless of which side of the paycheck I sign,” said Bill Rittler, PA Working Families supporter.

“Congressman Fitzpatrick is right about business owners taking big risks. But all working people take risks and deserve to be represented in Washington,” said Budd Heinz, PA Working Families supporter. “I’m a cancer survivor who has gone without health insurance. If Congressman Fitzpatrick wants to support Bucks County residents who have taken risks, he could start with the uninsured.”

For NS Jesse Jackson did not preach hate..he called it out...you have him confused with someone else...only those who resent being called out would call him a hater. I hear from those on active duty who appreciate the pay raise and the respect given to those who died ..their return home was no longer done in the dark in secret.
