$42K Raised for Scholarships, Preservation at Tasting for Tyler

The Bucks County Community College Foundation event raised $42,000 for student scholarships and the restoration of historic Tyler Hall.

The 25th annual Tasting for Tyler (formerly Tyler Tasting Party) at Bucks County Community College raised $42,000.

The June 7 event attracted 400 participants, who enjoyed food and drinks from more than 30 restaurants, wineries, caterers and bakeries. The evening featured a live and silent auction. It was organized by the Bucks County Community College Foundation.

The annual event is a fundraiser for student scholarships and the restoration of Tyler Hall, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. This year's presenting sponsor was the First National Bank & Trust Co. of Newtown. 

To date, the event has raised more than a half million dollars for restoration projects and scholarships.
