Bank to Sponsor BCCC Women's Tea Event

First Niagara Bank has donated $3,000 to sponsor Bucks County Community College Foundation’s fifth annual Women’s Scholarship Tea to benefit the Salute to Mothers scholarship fund.

The event, which attracts more than five dozen guests, takes place Thursday, September 27, in historic Tyler Hall on the college’s Newtown campus. Proceeds benefit female students who support at least one child while attending Bucks.  Over the past four years, the tea has raised $24,000, assisting 38 mothers.

“We are proud to support the BCCC Foundation’s Salute to Mothers Scholarship fund,” said Bob Kane, regional president of First Niagara Bank. “With the reality of escalating tuition costs, this wonderful scholarship program helps women in need achieve the invaluable goal of a college education.”
