As the only Northeast venue in the country to exhibit 45 master paintings and tapestries from the famed Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, The James A. Michener Museum in Doylestown is making one last call to to all art lovers!
The exhibit, called, Offering of the Angels: Treasures from the Uffizi Gallery, features pieces of art by Renaissance and Baroque masters such as Botticelli, Titian and Tintoretto. The Michener Museum is one of four museums throughout the United States to host the Uffizi exhibit, which has never before left Italy.
The Uffizi exhibit is open to the public daily and will sadly come to an end on August 12. For only $15 per ticket, visitors are treated to a viewing of this extraordinary exhibit, an audio tour and free parking at the museum. Timed tickets for the exhibit can be purchased online on the Michener Museum’s website or at the Bucks County Visitor Centers in Bensalem, New Hope and Peddler’s Village.
Getting to the Michener Museum is easy! If you’re coming from Philadelphia, the museum is easily accessible by public transportation from SEPTA’s Doylestown Line. As an added bonus, you can even purchase your museum ticket at one of SEPTA’s Center City ticket offices. If you plan on driving, the Michener Museum boasts a large and free parking lot for museum visitors, a short walk away from delicious restaurants and quaint shops in Doylestown.
