Candlelight Tribute to Honor Crime Victims' Rights

This week is National Crime Victims' Rights Week, a chance to raise awareness for victims of crimes. Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) has scheduled two events to honor victims of crimes and their loved ones.

NOVA's Annual Candlelight Tribute begins with a reception and service Tuesdsay at Newtown Friends Meeting. The reception starts at 5:30 p.m.; ecumenical service will follow at 6:30 p.m.

The service brings together victims, their families, law enforcement personnel, members of the judicial system, community leaders and supporters of the victims’ rights movement. Newtown Friends Meetinghouse is at 219 Court Street, Newtown, 18940.

Later in April, on April 26, NOVA invites anyone who is interested to come to the Crime Victims’ Commemorative Arbor from 11 am to 1:00 pm to help in a general cleanup at the Arbor and take some moments for quiet reflection at this peaceful site. The Arbor is beside Lake Luxembourg, Core Creek Park in Langhorne, 19047.
