'Armed and Dangerous' Bank Robbery Suspect at Large

Police are seeking a white man who robbed a Wrightstown bank Friday evening while wearing a hood and safety glasses.

Police are seeking an “armed and dangerous” man who robbed a Wrightstown bank shortly before 7 p.m. Friday night.

A surveillance camera inside the First Federal Bank, where the crime occurred, shows the suspect of the robbery as a hooded man wearing safety glasses, gloves and a dark business suit with a tie. He was carrying a duffle bag. According to police, the suspect is a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build.

According to police, the suspect ordered employees into a back room and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.

Newtown Township Police Department responded to the scene. Additional K9 units were called to the crime scene to search for the suspect. The FBI is assisting the township in the investigation.

According to its website, First Federal's Wrightstown branch is open until 7 p.m. on Fridays.
