Assault Charges Filed in Council Rock North Fight, Police Say

According to police, around 2:15 p.m. Friday, a 15-year-old male Council Rock High School North student attacked a fellow student while on school property.

The Council Rock High School North School Resource Officer will be filing assault charges in juvenile court after an incident that occurred Friday in which a 15-year-old student attacked his peer.

According to police, around 2:15 p.m. Friday, a 15-year-old male Council Rock High School North student attacked a fellow student while on school property. The victim is also a 15-year-old male.

Telecommunication batteries were stolen from a MetroPCS site on Freedom Drive, a field technician told police. The batteries were delivered to the site in November of 2012 and were last seen in January. The technician told the officer that there have been similar thefts in surrounding areas. The batteries are valued at approximately $500 each and four of them were stolen from the Newtown Township location.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday, a resident of Nathan Court reported that an unknown man called to convince her that her computer had viruses. The caller told the woman for an $800 charge, he could eliminate the viruses. Newtown Township police have received several reports of similar calls that have been determined to be fraudulent.

A resident of Cambridge Lane called police Friday to report fraudulent activity on her debit card. The victim received a call from her bank notifying her of the problem and that the charges had been in an amount exceeding $300. 

Also on Friday, a resident of Stoopville Road called police to report that her credit card company notified her that there were multiple unauthorized transactions totaling close to $4000 on her account.
