Authorities Investigate Burglary in Newtown Walk

Subject(s) burglarized one home and tried to enter a neighboring residence before an alarm was activated.

 

Newtown police confirm that they are investigating a burglary which occurred last Friday evening in the Newtown Walk development.

The home was broken into between 7 and 10 p.m. last Friday through a screen that was pryed off a second-floor back window, according to an email sent to residents of the development. The point of entry was above the house's laundry room.

The residents reported no damage to the inside of the home, but gold jewelry was taken.

Police were alerted when an alarm at a neighboring residence was activated when someone attempted to enter the nearby home.
