Bucks County Man, 81, Gets 935 to 1,870 Years in Prison for Sex Abuse

Thomas Holliday of Lower Makefield was sentenced to 935 to 1,870 years in prison for sexually abusing a teen for four years. It is believed to be the longest sentence ever imposed in Bucks County.

Bucks County, Pa. – An 81-year-old man who sexually abused a girl for four years and videotaped the assaults has been sentenced to 935 to 1,870 years in prison.

It is believed to be the longest sentence imposed in Bucks County, CBS Philly reported. 

Prosecutors say Thomas Holliday of Lower Makefield sexually abused a teen for four years starting when she was 14.  He was convicted of 234 crimes in January, including possession of child pornography for filming the assaults.

According to reports, the teen was sent to live with Holliday, a family friend, after he offered to help her mother financially.   

Judge Albert Cepparulo said he hopes the lengthy sentence deters other child predators.

Holliday’s attorney told CBS Philly an appeal is likely.
