Driver of One-Car Accident Facing DUI Charges
According to Newtown Township police, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Durham Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A Wrightstown man is facing DUI charges after police said he lost control of his car on Durham Road late Tuesday night.
According to Newtown Township police, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Durham Road shortly before 11:30 p.m.
When they arrived, officers said the driver, a 47-year-old Wrightstown resident, smelled like alcohol. According to police, the car was facing southbound approximately 20 feet off the northbound lanes. The driver told police that he swerved to miss something in the roadway and lost control of the car.

The officers administered a PBT and the man was transported to St. Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn. Charges of DUI are pending the results of the lab work, police said.
