A Bensalem man who was involved in a seven-person fight in Newtown Borough on Saturday was later rushed to the hospital after an incident at Dunkin’ Donuts.

According to Newtown Township Police Department, Kishan Fatel, 23, of Bensalem will be cited with public drunkenness after he damaged a trash can at Dunkin Donuts and then fell into it. Police said once the situation was under control, three of the men were told to leave the area and call a cab for a ride home. But they didn’t heed those instructions, according to police.

About 10 minutes later, township officers were dispatched to 7-Eleven on Sycamore Street for a report of disorderly subjects, who police later learned were three men from the fight.

When police arrived at 7-Eleven, the men were no longer there. Officers later located the men “creating a disturbance” in the area of Richboro Road and Cambridge Lane.

Fatel “stumbled out” of Dunkin Donuts with a facial wound, according to police. He was transported by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center.

After viewing the security tape from Dunkin Donuts, police determined Fatel damaged a metal trash can inside the store and then fell into the debris, which caused an injury to his eye.

Patel will be cited for public drunkenness, police said.
