Enraged Man Cited for Arguing with Tree Trimmers
A 51-year-old man was cited by police after he got into argument with tree trimmers.
A Linton Hill Road man was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct by Newtown Township officers after he got into argument with tree trimmers who were working for PECO.
The 51-year-old man was hostile toward police when they arrived to the 700 block of Linton Hill Road last Thursday, the department reported.

The angered man was reported by police to be upset that workers from Asplundh Tree Co. were going to touch his trees. He yelled at a male employee providing traffic control and ripped a handheld sign from their grip. The worker was struck in his side by the sign.
After the man calmed down, police advised him that he would be cited by mail.

The workers were cutting down trees as part of an
“Preventative maintenance programs like tree pruning and other vegetation management play key roles in providing the safe and reliable electric service our customers expect,” Alex Brown, PECO’s manager of vegetation management, said last month.
