Flying Golf Ball Damages Window

Newtown Township Police Department reported the following recent activity.

Newtown Township Police were dispatched to Opal Court at approximately 8:25 p.m. Friday for a complaint from a resident who said one of her windows on the second floor had been damaged by a golf ball.  The victim told the officer that there was a group of juveniles loitering on the corner of Opal Court and Diamond Drive. She said she saw them running from the area just after she heard the noise of the breaking glass, police said.

Police responded to the area of West Road at approximately 12:45 a.m. for a report of a suspicious male subject.  Responding officers made contact with the subject, checked his identification and determined that he had no outstanding warrants and instructed him to leave the area.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., a resident of the 1000 Block of Durham Road in Wrightstown Township called to report a suspicious vehicle parked in his driveway without his permission.  While the officer was at the location taking the report, the vehicle owner came back and explained that he ran out of gas and the driveway was the safest place to park his vehicle.  No further police action was required.
