Four DUI Arrests Made Over the Weekend in Newtown

The first incident occurred just before 9 p.m. Friday when a 47-year-old Philadelphia man was stopped on Second Street Pike in Wrightstown Township. After field sobriety tests, the man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He transported to Saint Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing. Charges of DUI are pending the results of the blood work.     

At approximately 3:25 a.m. Saturday, a 50-year-old Northampton Township resident was arrested after an officer observed her commit multiple traffic violations in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Sycamore Street. She was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing. Charges of DUI are pending the results of the blood work.

Then on Sunday, a 25-year-old Morrisville woman was stopped on the Newtown Bypass near Lower Silver Lake Road around 1:15 a.m. In speaking with the woman, the officer formed the opinion that she had been driving while intoxicated. She was arrested and taken to Saint Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing.  Charges of DUI are pending the results of the blood work.   

A 23-year-old Newtown resident was stopped on Eagle Road around 5:20 a.m. Sunday after an officer observed the driver go through a stop sign. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Saint Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing.  Charges of DUI are pending the results of the blood work.
