Hurricane Sandy: What's Closed, What's Open

As we learn about closings and cancellations, we will post them here for you. We will also keep track of what's open so you know where to get a coffee, glass of water or a hot meal.

CLOSED

• Council Rock Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday
• Bucks County Community College will be closed Monday and Tuesday
• SEPTA will shut down at approximately 12:30 a.m Monday. SEPTA officials said they expect all service to remain suspended through Monday.
• Customers of George Leck trash collection who have Tuesday pickups will be picked up on Friday instead. Trash only, though. Recycling will be skipped this week. 
• Newtown Theatre is closed Monday and possibly Tuesday.
• All McCaffrey's locations will be closed Monday. A late opening is planned for Tuesday.
• Starbucks will close at 11 a.m. Monday.
• The Village Library of Wrightstown will be closed Monday.
• The Bucks County Courthouse and all county offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
• George School classes and all other scheduled activities for Monday AND Tuesday have been cancelled. 
• Newtown School of Rock will be closed Monday.
• Action Karate is closed Monday.
• Oxford Valley Mall will be closed Monday.
• PennDOT photo-licensing centers in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, Delaware and Bucks Counties are closed on Monday.
• Newtown Dentistry for Kids and Newtown Orthodontics will be closed Monday
• Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
• Performance Spine and Sports Medicine will be closed Monday. Appointments will be rescheduled.
• Clubhouse Bar and Grill is closed Monday.
• Newtown Athletic Club will be open Monday and Tuesday, however group Exercise Classes are cancelled and Kids Club is closed.
• Crossing Vineyards will be closed Monday.
• Yogasphere will be closed Sunday night and Monday.
• The Temperance House will be closed Monday

OPEN

• Pineville Tavern is open. It has a generator.
• CVS locations in Newtown and Wrightstown are open as of 10:15 a.m. Monday.
• ACME is open as of 10:15 a.m. Monday.
• Giant Supermarket off the Newtown Bypass is open.
• Newtown Athletic Club will be open, however there will be no Kids Club or Group Exercise classes after noon on Monday.
