Lingohocken Fire Co. Elects New Officers

The volunteer fire company that covers parts of Buckingham has chosen new officers.

Lingohocken Fire Company has elected new officers to lead the volunteer fire company.

Founded in 1913, the company also will be celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The elected officers of the fire company for 2013 are:

  • Chief - Greg Jakubowski
  • Deputy Chief - John Bailey
  • President - Chet Pogonowski
  • Vice President - Marshall Whinney, Sr.
  • Secretary - Ted Middleman
  • Treasurer - Tony Roggio

Chief Jakubowski said that after more than 30 years of service as the company's secretary, George Rowe has decided to step down from this role. Rowe has served with the fire company for 51 years, he noted.

From its main station in Wycombe and substation in Forest Grove, Lingohocken covers all of Wrightstown Township, parts of Buckingham and Upper Makefield Townships, and portions of these zip codes: Furlong, Jamison, New Hope, Newtown, Pineville, Penns Park, and Rushland.
