Saturday, Oct. 22

A resident of Bayshore Drive observed a truck with a heavy load make a u-turn and cause damage a section of curbing on the street. The resident was able to provide information that led police to the owner of the truck and the company will be responsible for the repair to the curb.

Shortly before 9 p.m., an officer observed a motorist make a left turn from the Newtown Bypass in front of two other motorists, nearly causing an accident. The driver, Peter Tiburzio, 56, of Willow Grove received a citations charging him with a red light violation.

At approximately 1 a.m., police stopped a motorist on the Newtown Bypass due to a traffic violation. At the stop it was determined that the driver, 47 year-old Ricardo Guillaume of Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville, was driving while his license is under suspension.  Guillaume received a citation charging him with the violation and told he was not to drive. 

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Police responded to the area of Liberty Drive around 3:35 a.m. for a report that a person wearing a black sweatshirt and work boots was going from car-to-car trying to gain entry. The subject was last seen running towards Swamp Road. Officers checked the surrounding area including the wooded area behind Liberty Drive, but did not locate anyone. 

Saturday, Oct. 29

Police responded to numerous calls for weather related situations throughout the weekend. Power outages, wired down and downed trees caused multiple false alarms, several motorists became disabled and traffic lights were not functioning properly in several locations.

Sunday, Oct. 30

Around 9:10 a.m., a resident of Washington Avenue in Wycombe called to report that several of his Halloween decorations had been damaged or stolen overnight.              

A resident of Liberty Drive in Newtown Township reported that one of the trees on his property had been covered with toilet paper overnight.
