Newtown Township Police: Disorderly Conduct at 7-Eleven

Thursday, July 7

Just before 6 p.m., police were dispatched to a parking lot on Cambridge Lane for a complaint of a group of juveniles loitering by the vehicles.  The responding officer located three juveniles sitting by the trash dumpster and determined that they all lived nearby.  The juveniles were instructed to leave the area, which they did with no problem.

At about 11:30 a.m., a resident of East Park Road reported a suspicious vehicle parked across from her house for over an hour and asked that an officer check the situation.  Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the driver of the large white box truck from Ferguson Plumbing.  The driver explained that he had dropped off some supplies, then discovered a mechanical problem with the truck and was waiting for someone to respond to repair it. 

Shortly before 2 p.m., a resident of Burgundy Lane came to police headquarters to file a report regarding the unauthorized use of her identity to fraudulently open credit accounts.  The report has been forwarded to detectives for follow up investigation.

Saturday, July 9

Shortly after 3:00 a.m., police observed an adult male exit a car in the 7-Eleven parking lot and proceed to urinate on the sidewalk near the door. The officer approached the man, who was identified as 21 year-old Erik Johnson from Wycombe.  Johnson received a citation charging him with disorderly conduct.   

Police received a call from a resident of Saffron Court around 8:30 a.m., who reported that a second floor window in her home was broken by a golf ball.  The victim told police that the window was fine on July 6 and she discovered the damage this morning. The cost to replace the window is estimated at $500.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m., a resident of Meridian Circle reported that she noticed scratches and a dent in her vehicle that were not there when she parked it the night before.  The responding officer observed two small pieces of broken clear plastic on the street next to the vehicle. 

At about 11:10 p.m., while investigating a reported hit and run accident in the area of Lindenhurst Road and the Newtown Bypass, an officer found a wallet on the roadway.  The officer took the wallet to the resident’s home.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m., police were dispatched to Windham Court for a noise complaint.  The responding officer located the source of the noise and advised the resident to lower the volume of the music.  No further complaints were received.
