Newtown Township Police Log: Jan. 31 to Feb. 6

A summary of police activity the past week in the township.

Wednesday, Feb. 2

Police responded to a report that a white male and a black male were attempting to gain entry into garages in the area of Parkview Way.  Residents are asked to notify police immediately if they see any suspicious circumstances.

Thursday, Feb. 3

A resident of Tamarack Court reported to police that her credit card company had notified her that there had been fraudulent activity on her account.

Friday Feb. 4

A resident of Cliveden Drive reported a burglary at approximately 2:00 p.m. The incident is under investigation, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 5

There were numerous accidents on the Newtown Bypass Saturday morning caused by icy roadways as a result of the sleet and freezing rain.  The icy roads also caused motorists to become stuck and some even slid off the roadways in numerous locations throughout the township, police said.

Also Saturday, police received a report that two cars and various other property was vandalized with graffiti in the area of Penns Trail.
