Monday, March 5

At approximately 3:35 p.m., police responded to the 7-11 on Sycamore Street for a report of a group of juveniles loitering there.  The responding officer made contact with the teens and advised them to leave the area.  No further police action was required. 

Tuesday, March 6

Police were dispatched to the area of Winchester Lane around 2:20 a.m. for a complaint of a suspicious male subject trying to enter vehicles parked along the street.  The responding officer checked the neighborhood but did not locate the subject.  

Around 5:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Providence Court for the report of a suspicious male subject looking at homes and writing things down.  The area was checked and the officer made contact with the subject and learned that he was working for Comcast and provided his employee ID. The man told the officer that he was checking in with previous Comcast customers to see why they ended their contracts.  The officer advised him that he should notify police in the future, he agreed.  

Wednesday, March 7

Newtown Township Police conducted a motor carrier traffic safety detail in the 700 block of Durham Road in Wrightstown Township between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  During the detail 12 trucks were stopped with two citations being issued. 

Police met with a student of Bucks County Community College in the parking lot of the school shortly after 12:15 p.m. to take a report that her registration plate had been stolen from her car while she was in class.  PennDOT was notified of the theft. 

At approximately 11:30 p.m., police located a vehicle in the parking lot of the Newtown Skate Park and discovered two male subjects, a 21-year-old resident of Philadelphia and a 24-year-old from Yardley.  The officer advised them of the park hours and told them to leave the area. 

Friday, March 9

Shortly after 5 p.m., a resident of Society Place reported that his son’s tricycle had been stolen from the sidewalk in front of their home.  The theft occurred on Thursday, March 8.  The value of the tricycle is estimated at $135. 

Just before 11 p.m., a resident of Parkview Way called police to report that someone had attempted to make several transactions with her debit card. The victim told the officer that the bank notified her of the fraudulent activity.

Saturday, March 10

Just before 11 a.m. a resident of Upper Makefield Township called Newtown Township Police to report that while her vehicle was parked on Barclay Street in Newtown near Chandler Hall between 7 and 7:30 a.m. someone smashed one of the windows out and took her Coach purse that was on the front seat.  The purse, valued at $200, contained approximately $400 in cash, numerous credit cards and personal identification.  The victim canceled the credit card accounts, police said.
