N.J. Man Allegedly Attacked Driver in Bypass Road Rage Incident

Laurence Fuller, 43, of Voorhees, N.J. was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct after an incident Friday morning near the Summit Square Shopping Center.

A New Jersey man has been arrested after he allegedly beat and punched a Warminster man during a road rage incident on the Newtown Bypass Friday morning.

Newtown Township Police arrested Laurence Fuller, 43, of Voorhees, N.J. after an incident that began at the stoplight by the Summit Square Shopping Center and escalated in the following minutes.

Police said a 32-year-old Warminster man told authorities Fuller climbed onto his truck at the stoplight and began yelling at him and calling him names.

The victim told police he got out of his truck and Fuller began punching him “wildly” in his head and face.

Both men got back in their trucks and continued traveling east on the Newtown Bypass. The victim called authorities and was updating the dispatcher about Fuller’s location.

Lower Makefield police stopped the drivers on the ramp to southbound I-95 and called for an ambulance to transport the victim to the hospital. 

Newtown Township officers responded and took Fuller into custody.  

He has been charged with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony, two second-degree misdemeanors of simple assault and disorderly conduct. 

He was arraigned by Judge Burns and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
