No Arrest Yet in Piccolo Burglary Case

Piccolo Trattoria was burglarized Wednesday morning.

Newtown Township Police are still seeking information about Wednesday's burglary at Piccolo Trattoria. As of Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made in the case, police officials said.

The Newtown Township restaurant, located in the shopping center with Acme, was burglarized early Wednesday. Police released this surveillance video Wednesday of the crime in progress

The video shows a man yanking the cash register from the restaurant's counter. According to police, he stole the $3,000 register, which also contained $350 in cash.

Officers arrived at the restaurant at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday in response to an alarm. When they got there, the window of the front door was broken and two tables had been overturned. The cash register on the front counter had been ripped out and removed.

Security video captured images of a white male wearing jeans, a button-down shirt and a baseball cap inside the restaurant just before alarm was activated.
