One-Car Accident Leads to DUI Arrest: Recent Police Activity

Friday, June 6

An officer observed a motorist commit traffic violations at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Richboro Road.  The driver was stopped and identified as 56 year-old Joseph Devanney, Jr of Nathaniel Court in Warwick.  Devanney arrested was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center where he agreed to submit blood for chemical testing. Charges of DUI are pending the lab results.

Around 8:30 p.m. police were dispatched to the Sycamore Grill Restaurant on Sycamore Street for a complainant of loud music coming from a band at the location.  When the responding officer arrived he observed the band was packing up to leave.  No further complaints were received.  

Just after 11 p.m., police received a complaint of a loud party at a residence in Society Place.  The responding officer determined the source of the noise and spoke with the adult resident, who said he had visitors and they would reduce the noise.  No further complaints were received.

Saturday, June 7

Police responded to a home on Commonwealth Drive for a report of a neighbor dispute.  The officer made contact with both parties and determined that one neighbor was playing music that was disturbing the other.  The officer advised the resident to turn down the music.

Shortly before 9 p.m., police responded to Churchill Lane for a report that someone in the area was lighting projectile fireworks.  Officers checked the area and remained nearby for a short time but didn’t observe any fireworks. 

Sunday, June 8

While patrolling on South Sycamore Street, an officer observed a motorist commit vehicle code violations and performed a traffic stop.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as 25 year-old Matthew Petito of Deacon Drive in Trenton, N.J. While speaking to Petito, the officer formed the opinion that he had operated his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and that he was incapable of safe driving.  Petito was taken into custody and was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center where he submitted to a blood draw.  Petito was then released to friends at the hospital, and charges of DUI are pending the lab results.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., 46 year-old Michael Ciccarello of Jefferson Avenue in Morrisville was arrested for DUI following a one-vehicle traffic accident in the area of Swamp Road and Rushland Road. He was taken to Saint Mary Medical Center for a blood draw and then transported to his residence.  Charges of DUI are pending the results of the lab results. 

Shortly after 8 p.m. police stopped a motorist on Richboro Road near the entrance to Tyler State Park due to traffic violations.  At the stop the officer formed the opinion that the driver, who was identified as 48 year-old Lester C Tusiano of Kirkwood Street in Jenkintown, was under the influence of alcohol.  Tusiano was taken into custody and transported to Saint Mary Medical Center where he provided a blood sample that will be submitted to Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis.  Charges of DUI are pending the lab results.
