Police Chief Cautions Parents on Liability of Underage Drinking

With graduation parties coming up, Newtown Township's police chief warned parents to make sure alcohol is not part of those celebrations.

 

Spring is here and with that comes graduation parties and the urge to enjoy the warm weather outdoors with friends.

But Newtown Township Police Chief Rick Pasqualini is reminding residents to exclude underage drinking from those celebrations.

During a township supervisors meeting Wednesday, Pasqualini cautioned parents against allowing underage drinking at their homes.

“There is a great liability to allow underage people to drink in their homes,” he said. “Last year we had a couple of major parties where arrests were made.”

Last May, on Tall Oaks Lane, issuing 21 citations for underage drinking.
