At approximately 6:10 p.m., an officer patrolling on Durham Road observed a vehicle pull out of the driveway of a vacant house at a fairly high rate of speed.  The suspect vehicle cut through two lanes of traffic and made a right turn onto South Eagle Road. The driver continued on South Eagle Road, failing to stop at the stop sign at the stop sign at West Road.  The officer activated the emergency lights on the patrol vehicle and stopped the motorist in question. The driver was identified as 27-year-old Lawrence Michael McDade of Bensalem. The passenger in the car was identified as 21-year-old Kenneth Edward Glowania of Bensalem. Two witnesses approached the officer and told him that they had seen the two men in the vehicle on the vacant property and when the witnesses tried to speak with the men they jumped in the car and left the property.  McDade and Glowaina were transported to police headquarters where they were interviewed. Police determined that McDade had been on the property the previous day and took an air conditioner and he and Glowaina returned to the location to take more scrap metal. They were released until the appropriate charges have been filed and a court date is set.
