Police Report Stolen iPhone, Bank Account Fraud

And a resident called in to report strange noises, which turned out to be the wind.

Recent activity as reported by the Newtown Township Police Department:

Friday Nov. 2

At approximately 2:30 p.m., a Council Rock High School North student made contact with the School Resource Officer to report that her iPhone 5 had been stolen from her unattended backpack while she was in gym class. The phone, valued at $200, has not been located.

Around 5:40 p.m., a resident of Lincoln Avenue reported that he was informed by his bank that an unknown person had accessed his account through his debit card and withdrew $500 from an ATM in Philadelphia.  The bank cancelled the debit card and restored the funding to the victim’s account.

Saturday Nov. 3

Shortly after 2 a.m., a resident of Society Place reported hearing strange noises coming from her neighbor’s roof.  The responding officer noticed there was loose Tyvek wrap blowing in the wind on the rooftop in question. The roof appeared to have been damaged during the recent storm and was in the process of being repaired.

Now that the election is over, Man Landers has returned to The Patch. As first order of business, I'm glad to report that Society Place still remains Newtown's ghetto. Is it the same person that makes the phone calls to 911 every week or is the whole neighborhood just weird?

Seriously??? Calling the police out for a flapping roof tarp? Some of these police reports are so assine. People need to get a life.

Society Place is like KENSINGTON .....Its ruining this area and the schools surrounding it . If your moving into this area of Bucks County don't buy a home if your kids will have to attend Newtown Elementary ,Newtown Middle....

May I ask where Society Place is? I just can't place it. Thank you.
Man Landers November 13, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Go down 413 until you see sneakers hanging from a telephone pole. Turn right.
Kathleen Reidy November 13, 2012 at 03:32 PM
Wow! The houses in Society Place cost mega bucks and Council Rock School District is highly rated and have some of the highest SAT scores in the state. Maybe you are thinking of Newtown Square?

Man Landers November 13, 2012 at 04:56 PM
Thanks for the "shout out" Elle. I am happily married but if your last name is MacPherson it could be that we're soulmates. ; )
Krby November 13, 2012 at 05:15 PM
"A cheap way to get their offsprings in a good district". Obviously Elle didn't have parents who cared about her education because every post she can't write with proper grammar. I can't believe you are comparing a neighborhood in Newtown to Kensington. Do you see this police news? I'm thankful that this is the only news we have in Newtown and if what you say is true it would be different.
elle November 13, 2012 at 05:27 PM
@KRBY, wake up ...and yes Newtown is the new Kensington. Do you have children in any of the schools in Newtown? Be honest with yourself Krby, not everything is reported to the patch and the local news ! I actually did go to nice schools growing up thank you and my parents are wonderful people ! And what you quoted me saying is the truth! Really Krby the truth is SP is not such a nice development ! Don't walk thru there at night !
the VOICE November 20, 2012 at 12:08 AM

the VOICE November 20, 2012 at 12:17 AM
Elle - Yes U R entitled to your opinion; BUT Y would U bash a community and school district that U say U have a stake in ?
the VOICE November 20, 2012 at 12:19 AM
