Police Report Stolen iPhone, Bank Account Fraud

And a resident called in to report strange noises, which turned out to be the wind.

Recent activity as reported by the Newtown Township Police Department:

Friday Nov. 2

At approximately 2:30 p.m., a Council Rock High School North student made contact with the School Resource Officer to report that her iPhone 5 had been stolen from her unattended backpack while she was in gym class. The phone, valued at $200, has not been located.

Around 5:40 p.m., a resident of Lincoln Avenue reported that he was informed by his bank that an unknown person had accessed his account through his debit card and withdrew $500 from an ATM in Philadelphia.  The bank cancelled the debit card and restored the funding to the victim’s account.

Shortly after 2 a.m., a resident of Society Place reported hearing strange noises coming from her neighbor’s roof.  The responding officer noticed there was loose Tyvek wrap blowing in the wind on the rooftop in question. The roof appeared to have been damaged during the recent storm and was in the process of being repaired.
