Police Report Vandalized Cars at BCCC, Stolen Wallet at Fitness Club

Monday, April 2

Shortly before 2 p.m., police met a student at to take a report of criminal mischief to the student’s vehicle.  The victim told the officer that the door to his vehicle was keyed the Friday before while it was parked at the school.  On Monday, the car was damaged again. This time, words were scratched into the paint and a cupcake was smeared on the windshield.  The victim had no idea who may have caused the damage.  

At approximately 5:40 p.m., police responded to the for a report of a theft of a wallet from a locker.  The victim told the officer that when he returned to his locker, he discovered that his wallet and iPhone were missing.  There were no signs of forced entry into the locker but the lock was no longer on the locker.  The area was checked but the missing lock was not found.  The victim was advised to cancel his credit cards.  The victim called police later to report that when he contacted his credit card company, he was advised that the card had been used around 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 3

A resident of Saffron Court reported that the cars in her driveway had been hit with eggs overnight. 

Around 9 a.m., police were dispatched to Washington Crossing Road near Cliveden Drive for a report of an elderly male who appeared to be wandering along the road. The responding officer located the man and the man explained that his daughter’s mailbox had been damaged and he was picking up the mail that was scattered around. 

Shortly after 8 p.m., a resident of Burgundy Lane called to report that while her 16-year-old son was at the Newtown Skate Park, he put his wallet in his backpack and left it unattended on the ground while he continued to skate.  When the victim checked his backpack, he discovered his wallet was missing.  There was a small amount of cash and personal items in the wallet.   

Wednesday, April 4

Around 7:30 p.m. police received a call from a resident of Poppy Court reporting that his mailbox had been knocked over by a motorist. 

Thursday, April 5

Police received a report around 12:40 p.m. of unauthorized subjects fishing in a pond on Millstone Drive.  Officers confirmed that the property was owned by the neighborhood’s homeowner’s association and responded but the unwanted fishermen were no longer in the area.   

Friday, April 6

Just before 9 a.m., police met with a couple from Commonwealth Drive who reported that they had discovered that their bank account had been compromised with unauthorized checks being written by unknown persons.  The amount of the fraudulent activity exceeds $6,000.  

Around 12:35 p.m., police responded to Bucks County Community College for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle in one of the parking lots.  The responding officer observed tan art clay on the windshield, hood and door handles.  In addition there was a burn mark (possibly a cigarette type) on the plastic trim underneath the driver’s side wiper blade as well as a scratch on the front and rear passenger side doors.  The vehicle owner could not provide any information as to who may have caused the damage.  

While patrolling on Claire Drive shortly after 10 p.m., an officer observed an occupied vehicle parked on the wrong side on the road in an area where there were no houses or streetlights.  As the officer approached the car, the operator put his headlights on, activated his right signal crossed the center of the highway, in front of the patrol vehicle.  The officer stopped the motorist and the driver was identified as 23-year-old Michael Katzman of Sutton Court in Newtown.  The officer issued a citation to Katzman charging him with disorderly conduct.  

Sunday, April 8

Police were dispatched to the area of Society Place around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a female slumped over in a parked vehicle.  The responding officer made contact with the person, who was resting before she drove the rest of the way home. 

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., a resident of Monterey Place reported that his home had been hit with eggs overnight.  The officer did see several broken eggs on the front of the house and in the driveway.  No suspects were suggested.

Monday, April 9

Just before 6:30 a.m., police responded to routes 413 and 232 in Wrightstown Township for a report that a large amount of stones had fallen from a dump truck.  The driver of the truck stopped when he realized he was loosing stone and made arrangements to have the debris cleared by quarry employees.  In addition, an employee from the volunteered to use his plow truck to clear some of the debris before the crew arrived.  Traffic was detoured for a short time until the roadway was cleared.  One motorist reported damage to his vehicle. He said as a result of driving though the stone, his vehicle received a flat tire and various scratches to the passenger side.
