Public Urination, Loud Music Require Police Response at La Stalla

Loud music and public urination required police to make two visits to La Stalla within 40 minutes of each other last week.

Newtown Township Police were at La Stalla Restaurant twice last week, and it wasn’t for an Italian meal.

Shortly before midnight Thursday, police cited a 25-year-old Garney Valley man after officers spotted him urinating in the restaurant's parking lot in public view. According to Newtown Township Police, the man said the line for the bathroom was too long inside the bar so he came outside.

Police said the man will receive a non-traffic citation charging him with disorderly conduct.

Then just 40 minutes later, around 12:30 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched back to the restaurant for a noise complaint.

When the officer responded, he said a disc jockey on the exterior patio was playing “extremely loud” music. The officer spoke to the owner, who agreed to have the music turned down, police said.
