Shots Fired But No Injuries, Borough Police Confirm

Newtown Borough Police Chief Anthony Wojciechowski said while the department received several reports of shots fired this morning, there were no injuries.

Editor's Note: A previous verion of this story reported that Borough Police Chief Anthony Wojciechowski said there was no shooting. In a follow-up conversation with Newtown Patch, Wojciechowski clarified there were shots fired but no injuries. 

Newtown Borough Police received reports of five shots fired this morning at Frost Lane and Edgeboro Drive, Chief Anthony Wojciechowski said.

Wojciechowski confirmed there were no injuries. He said there is an ongoing investigation with county detectives to look into the matter.

Wojciechowski said the shots were reported around 8:20 a.m.

He said more details would be released as appropriate.
