Sexual Assault Reported on Towpath in Washington Crossing Park

A man groped another man on the towpath Tuesday, Solebury Township Police said.

A man was sexually assaulted by another man on the Delaware Canal Towpath Tuesday, Solebury Township Police said.

An adult male told police he was sexually assaulted by another man who was riding a bike along the along the Delaware River Canal Towpath in Solebury Township. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. in Washington Crossing Park near the Thompson Neely House. 

The victim told police the male suspect approached him and engaged in a lewd conversation prior to groping him.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s. He is estimated to be 5'8" tall, with a medium build, short grey hair and a mustache. He had an Italian accent, according to authorities.

The suspect was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and blue shorts with the word "Italia" on side of shorts. He had a black oriental symbol tattooed on his upper left arm.
