String of Burglaries Reported in Newtown Grant

Three home burglaries have been reported in Newtown Grant over the past week.

Newtown Township Police are investigating three home burglaries that have occurred over the past week in Newtown Grant, according to police.

The first incident was reported Monday, Nov. 19 on Hyacinth Court. 

According to police, the resident reported that they left their home around 8 a.m. and came home to find the back door forced open. Police said the resident reported someone was in the house and is compiling a list of stolen items.

Then, the night of Nov. 23 – the day after Thanksgiving – a resident of Quince Circle told police that while they were away for a few days, someone forced a side door open and gained entry into their home.  

Upon receiving that report, officers conducted a canvas of the neighborhood. During that canvas, they discovered a second home on Quince Circle had been burglarized.

Each of the victims will provide police with a list of items that were stolen from their homes, police said.
