SUV Reported Stolen From Township Residence

An SUV was reported stolen from a Newtown Township residence Monday morning.

According to Newtown Township Police, a Walton Court resident reported that his 2002 Ford Explorer was stolen from the common parking lot overnight. Walton Court is located off Fountain Farm Lane, near the Newtown Bypass.

The victim told police that his vehicle was unlocked when he parked it across from his house on Sunday morning around 11:30 a.m. He also said that he may have tossed the keys in the front seat area, police said. 

Police said the vehicle has been entered into the national database for stolen vehicles.  The victim told police that one of his neighbors told him that someone had gone through her vehicle overnight but nothing was taken.
