Township Police Report $3,500 Theft at CVS

Newtown Township Police also reported an arrest for drunken driving.

At approximately 12:40 p.m., police responded to Stockton Court for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The responding officer observed that the back window of the car had two small holes with a crack running between them.  The vehicle owner told the officer that the damage occurred at some point after 8 a.m. that day.

Police were dispatched to Cedar Lane for a complaint of loud music being played in the area just before 5 a.m.  The responding officer could be hear the music from the roadway and located the source of music coming from outside speakers of a residence.  The officer was able to turn the speakers off and attempted to make contact with the homeowner, but no one answered the door.

Friday, March 23

Diego Pinto De Garrido, 48, of Harpers Crossing Road in Langhorne was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol just before 2 a.m. De Garrido was traveling south on Campus Drive when he was seen driving over a curb and hitting a tree that was approximately 15 feet tall. The impact to the tree took it off at the base. De Garrido continued across the stone island, back onto the asphalt and made contact with a heavy piece of equipment, pushing it several feet.

At approximately 10 a.m., the manager of the in Wrightstown reported that at some point over past several days an estimated $3,500 in merchandise had been stolen from the fragrance cabinet.  The situation remains under investigation.
