Woman Falls 100 Feet at Tyler Park, Second Cliff Rescue in a Week

According to reports, a woman fell about 100 feet from a cliff at the park around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and her sister, who was hiking with her, called 911 from her cell phone.

Crews from the Newtown Fire Association and Northampton Fire Company did a second cliff rescue in a week Tuesday evening at Tyler State Park. 

According to an article on Phillyburbs.com, a woman fell about 100 feet from a cliff at the park around 6:30 p.m. and her sister, who was hiking with her, called 911 from her cell phone.

Northampton Fire Co. Chief Adam Selisker told the paper the woman suffered minor injuries after accidentally falling from a cliff behind the park’s arts and crafts building in Northampton Township.

This is the second cliff rescue in a week. Last week, a man was airlifted after he fell about 200 feet down a cliff at Bucks County Community College Wednesday afternoon. The man, a student at the college, reportedly fell down a cliff and landed on the banks of the Neshaminy Creek.
